To the Citizens of Hudson Oaks,
Today, March 23, 2020, the Parker County Commissioners Court unanimously approved a First Amended Emergency Declaration of Local Disaster Due to Public Health. This declaration was in response to the first verified diagnosis of COVID-19 in Parker County and goes into effect at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. This declaration may last up to 30 days in duration, if necessary, and primarily includes restrictions on the operation of certain businesses and gathering places. Go to www.hudsonoaks.com to review the declaration and what is being asked of us by our county leaders.
Rest assured, I have been in continuous communication with Judge Deen and he has been forthcoming with the current situation facing our county. As mayor of Hudson Oaks, I support this action by our commissioners and believe that we, as elected officials, must do everything in our power to ensure the safety of our citizens. Therefore, I urge all Hudson Oaks residents to heed this declaration by the Commissioners Court and abide by its restrictions. The quicker we defeat this invisible enemy, the quicker we will return to a time of unprecedented economic growth and prosperity in Hudson Oaks.
I understand the additional hardships that these restrictions will have on our families and businesses, however, these are unprecedented times and we must overcome them with unwavering faith, profound patience and staunch perseverance.
We must not live with a spirit of fear but with a spirit of courage and hope.
God bless you and keep you safe,
Marc Povero
Mayor - Hudson Oaks, Texas
