If you're building a structure on your property, there's a good chance you'll need to apply for a permit first. This is also the case if you need to do any mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical work. If you have any questions please call City Hall at (682) 229-2400

All peddlers and solicitors in the Hudson Oaks City Limits must hold a current permit. For solicitor/peddler permits, please call City Hall at (682) 229 - 2400

Contractor Registration

Prior to the start of any permitted construction, any third-party contractors must be registered with the City. The City is required to verify that all contractors are licensed (when applicable) and insured, we do this by using MyGov. With the link below you can register as a contractor with the City. You must be registered through MyGov in order to apply for a permit.

Applicants or contractors must pull permits online through the City of Hudson Oaks MyGov portal except for a specific use permit. **All commercial construction needs to meet the following water & wastewater standard specifications policy below**

Health Permit

    Please email your health permit to the City Secretary at shelley.major@hudsonoaks.com. All permits must be renewed before February 1st of each year. Failure to renew a food establishment permit by June 1st shall result in closure of establishment

    Please send your Ice Cream Truck Registration to shelley.major@hudsonoaks.com. Each Vendor must submit; proof of vehicle liability insurance and drivers license for each vendor employee, each employee is subject to a background check. Additionally, each mobile food vendor shall submit proof of city mobile permit from another entity and abide by the City's temporary event health guidelines. Mobile food vendors must submit a separate temporary event/special event permit application for each event.

Inspection Process

Most building, health, and other permitted inspections are performed by Bureau Veritas, the City's third-party inspection contractor. If you need to schedule a building inspection, please do so through your permit project on the MyGov site. When the time comes for inspection MyGov will allow you to schedule an inspection. 

Inspectors assigned to your area can be contacted via cell phone as well. Please call the Bureau Veritas office at 817-335-8111 for your inspector's name and number.
