The City of Hudson Oaks offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Sick Leave, Vacation, and Personal Time

The following table shows the number of hours accrued per year for civilian employees:

In addition to vacation and sick time, each employee is provided 16 hours of personal time, which is accrued on January 1 of each year.


Employer provided medical and dental insurance benefits are also part of our comprehensive benefit package. Additional Dental, Vision, Life and other health insurance options are available at the employee's expense. Employees may also choose to enroll their family members in the City's group plan.


The City of Hudson Oaks particiates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS). The City matches 7% employee contributions 2 to 1. Employees are vested after 5 (five) years, and can retire at age 60, or at any age after 20 years of qualified service.

Hudson Oaks extends to all employees the following twelve (12) paid holidays:

  • Friday after Thanksgiving Day

Additionally, employees receive two paid personal holidays and one paid floating holiday per fiscal year.
