The City of Hudson Oaks is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission. There are seven members of the Commission, serving two-year, staggered terms. This year, three Commission seats are up for appointment. The City of Hudson Oaks Planning and Zoning Commission is charged with the following duties:
- Identifying community needs and advising the City Council of short term and long term implications for the orderly development of the city;
- Recommending achievable community goals as a basis for long range planning and development programs;
- Recommending plans, programs and policies that will aid the entire community in achieving its defined goals; and
- Interpreting the adopted plans and programs to concerned citizens so that private activities and desires may be accomplished in harmony with public needs and policies.
The City will accept applications through June 30, 2018. Applicants must be a resident of the city and a qualified (eligible) voter in Hudson Oaks.
